Recipes - Biscuits - Buttermilk Rusks



Ingredients:

1 kg snowflake self raising flour
250 g Butter or Margerine
500 ml (2 cups) sugar
2 extra large eggs
+/- 400 ml buttermilk


Method:

Sift four and rub in the butter then add the sugar.
Mix the eggs and buttermilk and add to the flour mixture.
Put dough into loaf pans. Bake at 180 Degrees C for approximately 50 minutes
or until cooked. When finished, take out of oven and allow to cool.
When cool, cut into rusks, place on trays, allow to dry overnight in a very
cool oven at 50 degrees, place a wooden spoon in the door.
